I put to my wall, a legal opinion from legal professional on Anwar's pardon. As rule of law is the PM's mantra. Let us see that the rule of law is obeyed.

Reading between the lines.
It pains me to see people who know nothing about how the system works getting it all wrong and excitedly making their own presumptions which often fall into fallacies.
Had arguements in my neighbourhood wassup group recently when they said AI had been released. When I tried to explain they said the PM said so and the YDPA has stated to. Who is above the YDPA and when the titah has been made it must be implemented immediately for YDPA has the absolute power.
And they also assume when PM said AG is not the advisor to gov at the moment it means the AG has been sacked.
This is what I think.
Yes the YDPA has sole discretion when comes to those convicted of an offence to be granted pardon or remit their sentence. Which can be done since AI has served a significant part of his sentence. But it has to be done according to the constitution and accompanying laws and rules. That mean the papers has to be prepared, the petition has to be filed, the AG has to give an opinion. So too the judges. Then the Lembaga Pengampunan has to convene the meeting during which the YDPA will make the decision. I believe when the YDPA said he will pardon AI, it means his majesty will make that decision during the meeting of the LP. Not immediately without going through all these process. The time for LP to convene I think won't be long bcos the papers like petition, AG's opinion, and the others are already there since the petition has been made before, if we care to read the papers before this.
When the PM said AG is not the advisor to the gov now I take it to mean the PM is not seeking the advice of the AG in his capacity as legal advisor to the government on certain matters at the moment. It does not mean the AG has been immediately sacked. For if the AG is being removed then it means we have no Public Prosecutor at the moment and that mean the DPP's has got no authority or punca kuasa to carry out their duties and they can't prosecute court. And that means all the accused persons charged with committing offences like murder and drug trafficking has to be released! And who will write AG's opinion to the YDPA for AI's released?
I know all are in euphora at the moment, but when it all subside, I hope nobody goes into paris syndrome.
